Illinois medical cannabis sales drop two months in a row
For the second month in a row, Illinois medical cannabis sales dropped.
Retail sales of medical cannabis for September totaled $31,440,439.61 including $15,197,320.37 in dry flower sales and $16,243,119.24 in concentrates/infused-products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 63,890 unique patients, who purchased 1,009,256 grams of dry cannabis.
In 2020, retail sales by the 55 licensed medical cannabis dispensaries totaled $267,206,655.86.
Cultivation Centers have totaled wholesale numbers of $239,897,634.67 for 2020 and $640,658,985.71 since November 2015.
The Illinois Department of Public Health has approved applications for 142,253 qualifying patients (including 728 persons under 18 years of age), since it began accepting applications for the Medical Cannabis Registry Program on September 2, 2014.
Since November 2015, retail medical cannabis sales have totaled $789,424,889.81.
Retail sales of medical cannabis for August totaled $31,542,786.79, which was down from June’s totals of $33,251,969.41.
August retail sales of $15,135,227.55 in dry flower, though, topped June’s $14,330,657.20 total flower sales.
In August, licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 63,168 unique patients, who purchased 1,100,913 grams of dry cannabis.
In June, licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 62,811 unique patients, who purchased 1,112,475 grams of dry cannabis.
Medical patients bought less concentrates/infused-products than in June by nearly $1.3 million.
