Homegrown Review: Cappuccino by John Grow #29
We’re back with another Homegrown Review from our educational review series in which Illinois News Joint showcases homegrown medicine from Illinois patients in order to better inform our readers about exactly what registered patients are growing and why they are doing it. The goal is to educate patients on the variety of medicinal benefits available, so patients can better individualize homegrown medicine for their specific needs. This review is for a strain I have actually sampled and enjoyed, so we thought we’d let John Grow #29 tell us all about the Cappuccino by LIT Farms that he recently harvested.
Cappuccino is a sativa-leaning cross of Espresso (Ghost Train Haze X Koffee) and Project 4516 (Platinum Puff and Gelato 45). The aroma is sweet, cocoa, coffee, fruity, and floral with hints of earth, kush, and spice.
The flavor is built for those searching for sweet, chocolate, cream, and coffee strains. The inhale hits with the sweet coffee and chocolate with notes of creamy earth, floral cherry, and candy on the back end. The exhale carried the sweet floral, nutty, and chocolate flavors on the front end with notes of sweet cheese, earthy sugar, kush, and creamy spice on the back end.
The effects match the namesake with an almost instantaneous boost of motivation, talkativeness, and physical energy. The cerebral buzz is clearheaded, euphoric, happy, and creative. Cappuccino balances the energy and motivation with a mental ease that keeps the buzz from becoming racy.
The body buzz takes longer to engage, but eventually settles in with a complete body buzz that becomes more relaxing as the buzz continues. The body buzz at its peak works well for muscle aches and cramps but also allows John Grow #29 to function physically throughout the day with mental focus and motivation.
Cappuccino definitely fits our Work Sativa review series for its effects while delivering a different flavor profile than most strains. Doubled up with an actually cup of coffee or espresso, Cappuccino can kick off any morning, noon, or afternoon with a strong pick-me-up. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
