Illinois cannabis sales continue to set records
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced Illinois’ monthly recreation sales total today. For the third month in a row, Illinois surpassed $100 million in monthly sales totals to again set a new record.
Illinois’ May adult-use cannabis sales increased to $116,380,348.01 from April’s total of $114,961,668.22.
In-state resident sales actually dropped from $79,909,284.92 in April to $79,559,545.00 in May.
Total items sold increased from 2,463,056 in April to 2,512,093 in May.
Out-of-state resident sales increased from $35,052,383.30 in March to $36,820,803.01 in April.

The recreational cannabis sales for 2020 totaled $669,084,410.12. Last year’s monthly totals include:
