Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced October’s recreational sales totals today. October sales continued the trend of consistent monthly cannabis sales hovering in the high $126-million range to low $135-million range since March 2022. October adult-use sales totals also landed in the same range at $131,547,030.86.
October total out-of-state resident sales reached $40,662,490.54. In-state resident sales totals finished at $90,884,540.32. Illinois sold a sum of 3,102,804 cannabis items in October. With October sales totals, Illinois has now reached $1,277,932,269.15 in total 2022 recreational cannabis sales with two months left in the year.
If Illinois averages slightly more than 130 million for the next two months, adult-use cannabis sales for 2022 should surpass $1.7 billion. Illinois topped the one billion-mark a month ago.
