High Times Magazine announced a timeline for the People’s Choice 2022 Cannabis Cup for Illinois. This year’s contest will be hosted earlier than the previous two years and include a few other changes to the contest.

The estimated timeline include Intake/Product submissions from July 11–July 13, Judge Kits Available on July 24, and judging is scheduled to take place from July 24–September 18.

The Award Show is scheduled for Sunday October 2.

A few category changes have been made for the 2022 People’s Choice Cannabis Cup awards.

This year, the contest is set to have a Recreational and a Medical category.

The recreational category includes Indica Flower, Sativa Flower, Hybrid Flower, Pre-Rolls, Concentrates, Vape Pens & Cartridges, Edibles: Gummies, Edibles: Non-Gummies, and Edibles: Beverages.

The Medical category includes Flower, Vape Pens, and Edibles.

According to High Times Magazine, the “High Times Cannabis Cup Illinois: People’s Choice Edition is aimed to identify and award the best cannabis products in all of Illinois, all across a wide range of different categories, all to be judged by the great people of the Land of Lincoln.”
