Medical cannabis sales at yearlong low
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported January 2022 medical cannabis sales totals today.
Retail sales of medical cannabis for January totaled $29,686,123.47, including $14,083,522.33 in dry flower sales and $15,602,601.14 in concentrates/infused-products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 65,041 unique patients, who purchased 1,130,332 grams of dry cannabis.
These totals were a significant drop and the lowest monthly totals since February 2021’s totals of $29,579,209.83.
January 2022 $29,686,123.47 total was a drop from January 2021 totals of $32,670,476.42
Except for the February 2021 totals of $29,579,209.83, the rest of 2021 monthly totals ranged from $31,776,279.07 to $35,688,321.20.
Retail sales of medical cannabis for January totaled $35,426,633.74, including $16,504,627.43 in dry flower sales and $18,922,006.31 in concentrates/infused-products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 70,178 unique patients, who purchased 1,290,143 grams of dry cannabis.
Illinois 2021 sales of medical cannabis totaled $397,249,781.70. Add that to the 2021 recreational cannabis salesof $1,379,088,278.61 for a total of $1,776,338,060.31 in total medical and cannabis sales totals.
