While flower will always hold a special place in my heart, there’s no doubt that cannabis concentrates unlock a level of expression that raw plant simply cannot match. Nature’s Heritage recently dropped a new strain in live resin form only, so I picked up a gram of the Chem Fruit Live Resin to review.

Chem Fruit is a hybrid cross of Chemdawg and Juicy Fruit. This batch of live resin tested at 0.24% CBDa, 4.33% CBGa, 2.58% THC, 81.33% THCa, and 89% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 4.27% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool being the heaviest indicated.

A messy mound of bright orange-yellow badder carried a wet sheen across the top. Lively with a springy bounce back, the badder carried a balanced moisture content that provided enough structure to easily scoop a dab but remained wet enough to still carry a light squishiness.

True to the name, dense layers of chem-style funk and sweet fruit collided as soon as I opened the jar. Notes of spicy mustard, hot diesel, warm rubber, lime peel, and lemongrass on top led to sweeter tones of mango, blackberry, strawberry, and grape out of the jar. Simple and direct on the palate the funky tones overpowered the more delicate fruit notes as flavors of diesel, skunk, and roasting herbs stuck to the tongue long after the exhale.

Chem Fruit lifted my energy level while providing an anxiety-free clearheaded headspace making it a great fit for a daytime “work dab.” The body buzz was heavier as my muscles took on a weighted pressure after hitting a tingling euphoric peak. Despite this, the mental clarity remained, boosting my ability to focus for more than an hour. Overall, Chem Fruit provided a deep flavor experience alongside a functional daytime buzz.
