Review: Ghosts of the Mujahideen HTE Cartridge by Bedford Grow
We love reviewing new Illinois cannabis products and adding new Illinois brands to our review series. Reviewing Ghosts of the Mujahideen High Terpene Extract (HTE) Cartridge by Bedford Grow that I picked up at Dispensary 33 did both.
The Ghosts of the Mujahideen strain is an indica three way cross between Afghani, Blockhead, and Ghost Dawg. This new Bedford Grow .5g cartridge was a potent High Terpene Extract listed at 72.56% total THC and 0.29% CBD.
The terpenes profile from the lab tests listed minor terpenes I’d never heard of, and the overwhelming leading terpene was also an unusual suspect. This HTE cartridge led with more than twice the terpinolene than any other terpene at about 40%. The following terpenes included β-caryophyllene at 17.5%, β-myrcene at 16%, and limonene at almost 8%.
After the familiar α-humulene, the next terpene I don’t often see listed on lab tests, or at least not at 1.7%, was p-cymene. Other terpenes I don’t often see included valencene, 3-carene, β-phellandrene, and sabinene.
This combination of terpenes provided for a combination of citrus, mint, and pine. The front end of the inhale and exhale was overwhelmingly a strong citrus mixed with the mint and pine. The taste also had hints of cinnamon, hops, and a cumin-like flavor. I expected this flavor more from a sativa cartridge than a heavy indica. At a nice low level, each toke was smoother than nearly every other cartridge I’ve sampled.
The potent effects hit quickly, and though the first part of the onset delivered some energy and a strong clear-headed high, it did not last for long. The stronger sedation and relaxation effects swiftly caught up and produced a heavy mental and physical high. The cerebral high eventfully led to gapping out mentally and tiredness.
The body buzz was impressive and once anchored lasted for hours. The Ghosts of the Mujahideen HTE Cartridge also boosted my appetite, but I tried not to eat because it was too late at night.
Overall, I did enjoy Bedford Grow’s new High Terpene Extract Cartridge and will probably buy these instead of what I used to buy, especially if they come in a high-energy sativa strain. I also want to sample the Ghosts of the Mujahideen flower now and compare.
