The packaging of the IQ2 Vaporizer is as intricately compact and fancy as any I’ve ever seen.

What makes IQ2 Vaporizer different from other vapes on the market is its Dosage Calculator and Algorithm, as well as its temperature control. The algorithm uses numerous variables including strain potency and the amount of herb in the oven, in combination with duration and temperature. The duration of each draw in a session is measured and tracked by a diaphragm inside the DAVINCI IQ2. When vaping cannabis, the user is converting the cannabis into vapor without combustion and at specific temperatures to craft the perfect experience per user. Vaporizing at different temperatures allows users to experience varying feelings and effects of euphoria, pain relief, and relaxation. Smart Paths slowly step up to burn the materials of the oven at set temperatures that are known to release these effects, in a gradual manner during the session.

Preset “Smart Paths” are programmed to be straightforward for all users, from novice to connoisseur. The temperature of the oven increases incrementally during the session hitting key temperatures that evenly heats the contents to produce various effects by activating the boiling points of various cannabinoids within the materials in the oven. This automatically creates an ideal session that is preset by expert programmers or customized precisely by the user.

The DaVinci IQ2 Vaporizer and components are medical-grade, and the vapor stays sealed inside a glass and zirconia vapor pathway, meaning it never touches any metals or plastics. DaVinci products also contain a glass flavor chamber where I can load my favorite aromatherapy herbs to receive cleanly vaporized flavors.

“We saw an opportunity in this space to produce something portable and pocketable,” recalled Shauntel Ludwig, VP of Operations at the Nevada-based vape manufacturer. “We have always believed in precision heat to activate specific boiling points in cannabis, and we were a little ahead of our time in 2012.”

Using foresight to predict consumer needs, the new IQ2 offers me the ability to know and track dosage. Ludwig shared, “As medical patients expand and more consumers come into the market, how much they consume over a particular time period is going to be important.”

With just a few simple clicks, I can program my Davinci IQ2 with the THC and CBD potency of my flower or concentrate, and the device will calculate and display how much I inhale with each use and tally the total for each session.

“This isn’t just a relaunch of the old IQ; this is a well-thought-through redesign,” Ludwig said. “We are willing to learn from our mistakes and correct them, that’s part of our continuous improvement process.”
