Review: Pineapple Express Disposable Vape by Crystal Clear
While some highbrow consumers look down at cannabis distillate, Crystal Clear takes a positive spin, building its brand around the ideas of purity and flexibility allowed by “disty.” While I’ve sampled the company’s infused prerolls before, I recently acquired some samples of the brand’s disposable vapes for review. The first is Pineapple Express.
Crystal Clear Pineapple Express is a blend of cannabis distillate and botanically derived terpenes. This cart tested at 0.29% CBD, 1.91% CBG, 0.74% THCVa, 88.01% Delta 9 THC, and 90.96% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 8.18% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, β-myrcene, linalool, α-bisabolol, and limonene being the heaviest.
Crystal Clear disposable hardware was as traditional and easy to understand as the market offers with a classic stick battery, glass tank combo. There was no button, a simple hit to activate mechanism, and a USB charging port on the bottom.
The flavor carried notes of pine sap balanced by sweeter notes of light berry and fresh basil. The sweet berry was more detectable in smaller puffs with the pine covering it up as the hits got bigger. The overall flavor was strong and tasted closer to natural flower than most distillate carts in the state.
Crystal Clear Pineapple Express induced a heavy pressure on my eyelids and brow contrasted by tingling euphoria in my chest and arms. My energy level rose, but I was mentally spaced out and distracted, moving quickly from focus to focus point. While this vape shared a sharp peak but short life experience, similar to most distillate products I’ve sampled, it left behind a long lasting wave of relaxation.
