Review: Pure Essentials Tincture by PTS
I admit that I have never taken sublingual medicine that I’ve enjoyed. In the past, medicine drops always gave me the shudders and an awful lingering aftertaste. So I’ve tried to avoid them, until now. Recently, though hesitant, I picked up from NuEra Urbana two Pure Essentials Tincture by Progressive Treatment Solutions. The two tinctures I chose were the 1:1 Cherry and the 10:1 Tropical.
I wasn’t sure how to incorporate tincture into my medical needs. I already smoke way too much flower. I eat the shit out of gummies, chocolate, and other infused foods. Late at night, I often hit concentrates to relax and sedate my body. What could tincture add?

The Pure Essentials 1:1 Cherry Tincture contained 100mg CBD/100mg THC and combined pure cannabis oil with natural flavors to create a unique tincture with minimal cannabis flavor. The dropper had a 1ml indicator, so every sublingual dose was precise. Though I have a pretty high tolerance, I wasn’t sure what dose to begin with. So, as I suggest to others, I started low and worked my way up, until I found the dosage that worked best.

The cherry taste had no lingering aftertaste or oily consistency, which was a relief. I found this sublingual medication way easier to handle in taste and effect than other pharmaceutical sublingual medicine. I imagined the cherry taste to be like the dentist sour cherry flavor toothpaste or fluoride treatment. But instead, the cherry smell and taste reminded me more of the syrup that goes into snow cones.

The 1:1 Cherry delivered a cerebral high within 15 minutes that slowly increased along with a building body buzz that peaked around 60-90 ninety minutes. The overall sedating effect hit quicker than traditional edibles but did not last as long.
The Pure Essentials Tropical 10:1 Tincture contained 1000mg of CBD and 100mg of THC. The flavor was fruiter and more tropical than the cherry. Of course the Tropical 10:1 delivered less of a cerebral high and more of an overall calming of the mind and body.

The Cherry 1:1 I dosed with late at night about 30-60 minutes before I wanted to fall asleep. The Tropical 10:1 worked best in low doses during the day to relax my muscles while functioning. A few nights, I mixed the drops to add more CBD with the THC.

I’m glad I overcame my hesitancy for sublingual medications and sampled the Pure Essentials Tincture by PTS. And back to the question I asked earlier in the review. What could tincture add? Well, I found a need tincture fit in perfectly.

While working late at night, I often eat edibles to ease pain from sitting at a desk for hours and for better sleep, but usually I have to stay clearheaded and can’t consume the edibles until I’m nearly finished with work. Sometimes that would be too late. I have eaten infused ice cream that acts faster, but I don’t need all the sugar before sleeping. I have drunk infused tonics, but I don’t want all the fluids before bed.

The advantage of the tincture was that it offered an option with fewer calorie, sugar, and fluids I could consume late at night that also delivered a fast onset. And it allowed me to slow down and decompress quicker than I normally would be able to do after working for hours straight. So yes, tincture has marked out a niche in my medical regiment, and I’m happy I found another tool to help achieve my best health.
