Review: Sour Garlic Mints Live Badder by Bedford Grow
While the effects drew me to dabbing, the depth of aroma and flavor keeps me obsessed. I can’t get enough of the complex and intriguing experiences terp-heavy extracts can provide. I recently spotted Sour Garlic Mints badder from Bedford Grow and, hoping the flavor could live up to the strain name, picked up a gram to sample from Maribis Springfield on Denver.
Sour Garlic Mints is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of GMO and Animal Mints. This batch of live resin tested at 0.17% CBDa, 6.87% THC, and 76.18% THCa.
Yellow amber and shimmering in the light, the mound of badder carried a thin layer of terpenes right at the top. The terp heavy top was thin and liquidy while the center was a more solid creamy texture when first opened, but the badder stabilized into a more homogenous badder after being whipped together.
Sharp notes of hot diesel, dense pine, vinegar, and hops sat at the top end of the aroma profile. Underneath a tangy opening, a complex blend of fresh carrot, wild onion, menthol, musk, lemon, and magnolia lingered, inviting repeated olfactory explorations. The sizeable terpene numbers made large hits pack a considerable lung punch. The tangy top end of the aromatic profile turned sweet on the palate, evoking Sweet Tarts, orange blossom, and lime before a savory blend of onion, garlic, and earth came in to provide the finish.
Sour Garlic Mints opened physically with a tingling euphoric buzz that slowly shifted into a relaxing and overall-floating sensation. Chronic inflammation in my back and joints disappeared for a couple hours. The mental effects set in over the following half hour becoming a dense haze that slowed my train of thought and closed off my awareness. Sour Garlic Mints delivered on its promise of flavor and the relaxing effect profile made for a good end of day dab. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
