Verilife fundraiser gives back to healthcare providers
On April 20, PharmaCann, which operates dispensaries under the name Verilife, raised a little more than $21,000 to support local medical and healthcare providers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To commemorate the cannabis industry’s most significant day of the year, Verilife dispensaries donated for each qualifying transaction $4.20 to local healthcare facilities and organizations dedicated to feeding healthcare workers.
“This year, instead of the usual festivities and activities to commemorate 4/20, PharmaCann wanted to give back to the medical and healthcare professionals who are doing so much to take care of our communities,” said PharmaCann Director of Marketing Megan Ogden.
Verilife also invited patients and customers to consider a similar donation to this cause at the time of their transactions.
“The overall drive was a tremendous success with our $4.20 per transaction donation and customer, patient, and employee donations,” said Ogden.
Verilife has Illinois dispensaries in Arlington Heights, North Aurora, Ottawa, and Romeoville (Will County).
“We are extremely thankful to all frontline healthcare workers who continue to battle this health crisis,” said Brett Novey, CEO of PharmaCann. “4/20 is both a celebration as well as a call to action, and on 4/20 this year, Verilife dispensaries nationwide will give back to the brave healthcare professionals fighting to save lives in our communities.”
As Verilife remains open during the COVID-19 pandemic, subject to individual state guidelines, Verilife dispensaries have implemented system-wide safeguards to eliminate crowding and follow social distancing guidelines, as well as to ensure a safe, clean environment for our patients, customers, and employees.
PharmaCann currently operates in six states and holds licenses to operate up to five cultivation centers and 26 dispensaries within its geographic footprint.
