420 helps boost April recreational sales
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced April’s recreational sales totals today.
Illinois’ April cannabis sales total of $131,782,657.26 was the second-highest monthly total since legalization. The only monthly sales total more than April 2022 was Decembers’ 2021 total of $137,896,859.11. April’s total took over March 2022’s former second-highest total at $130,960,120.66.
The April in-state resident sales increased to $90,928,278.73 from March’s $90,391,353.23 and again was the second highest since legalization in Illinois. The only resident sales total more than last month was December 2021 totals of $95,634,565.57.
The April out-of-state resident sales totals increased to $40,854,378.54, which was more than March’s total of $40,568.767.43. Total items sold in April reached 3,102,233, the most since December 2021 at 3,180,944.
In 2021, Illinois totaled $1,379,088,278.61 in sales for the year, which more than doubled 2020 totals of $669,084,410.12. Find all monthly totals below.
