Academic Cannabis Conference also offers games and prizes
After releasing the schedule for presenters, the Academic Cannabis Conference, produced by News Joint Events, is pleased to announce more detailed information about the Entertainment & Cannabis Community portion of the event. The Community Center booth will host prescheduled activities, games, prizes, and giveaways throughout the event, including a Scavenger (Photo) Hunt.
The Garden Grove Event Center, located at 1215 East Walnut St. in Carbondale, is set to host the event that is scheduled to feature legal consumption, a variety of new and established Illinois cannabis brands, a full cannabis bar (sponsored by The Botanist), a dab bar service (sponsored by Legacy), an infused-cocktail bar service (sponsored by Tonic), joint rolling stations (sponsored by Cresco), live glass blowing from KoalaT Glass, food vendors (Winston’s Bagels, Genesis), and more.
To participate in the Scavenger Hunt, attendees first take a photo of the full scavenger hunt list, located at the Community Center booth. First attendee to take a quality photo of each item on the list (and show the Community Center host) wins a Grand Prize Package. All participants who complete the Scavenger Hunt list win a Prize Package. Throughout the event, the Community Center also will host games prizes, such as swag, merchandise, cannabis products, and other prizes.
The conjoining Education Center & Job Fair portion of the event, with the SIUC Cannabis Science Center as academic contributor, will combine academic research and education with job fair opportunities and resources. The Education Center booth and Presentation Stage are the focal points for this portion of the event. The Education Center booth will be the communal marketing materials location for job opportunities and academic resources. From the Presentation Stage, professors and professionals in the cannabis field will deliver research and informational presentations.
News Joint Events also is scheduled to host the Academic Cannabis Conference (ACC) VIP After Party at the Garden Grove Event Center from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The ACC VIP After Party is STAR WARS themed. Any attendee wearing a Star Wars costume will receive a special gift package, and Best Costume Prize Packets will be handed out to two winners.
At the party, News Joint Events also will be launching our full Cannabis Bar Service with several new smoking devices to try, as well as infused-cocktails (sponsored by Tonic). Tickets are $20 if preordered here and $30 at the door. No attendee will be able to enter the private grounds without a ticket reservation and ID.
Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
