Aroma Grow Store opens in Niles
Editor’s note: this article is the first in a short series of articles about several new grow shops opening across Illinois. The article features Aroma Grow Store and its two locations.
On January 6, 2016, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) had approved applications for approximately 4,000 qualifying patients since the Medical Cannabis Registry Program began on September 2, 2014.
January 6, 2020, the first month of recreational legalization, the IDPH had approved applications for 98,171 qualifying patients.
By March 7, 2022 (after adding more qualifying medical conditions), the IDPH had approved applications for 200,709 qualifying patients.

Illinois approved applications for nearly 100,000 qualifying patients in the first four years of the program and more than 100,000 qualifying patients in the last two year.
Many of those patients grow their own medicine, and that does not account for the recreational and black market growers.
So it’s no wonder why several new grow shops are opening across Illinois.
One of those recently opened stores is one of our partners at Aroma Grow Store in Niles, located at 8600 Golf Road Suite 300.
Niles store hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Sundays.
