Best in Grass, a national cannabis judging competition and product feedback platform, is in full swing in Illinois. Competition judging kits in each category are now available at several dispensaries across the state.

The competition features 30+ brands, 120+ product entries and hundreds of thousands of grams of cannabis including flower, concentrates, vape pens and edibles. Judging categories include the following:

2. Sativa Flower
3. Hybrid Flower
4. Pre-Rolls
5. Infused Pre-Rolls
6. Solvent/Non-Rosin Vape Pens & Cartridges
7. Non-Solvent/Rosin Vape Pens & Cartridges
8. Non-Solvent Concentrates
9. Solvent Concentrates
10. Edibles: Gummies
11. Edibles: Non-Gummies
12. Syrups and Beverages
13. MEDICAL Flower
14. MEDICAL Vape Pens
15. MEDICAL Concentrates
16. MEDICAL Edibles

The deadline for judging the competition kits is Sunday, October 13. Winners will be announced live at a TBA in-person event. Judging kits will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pricing ranges between $25-$160 before taxes, depending on the category. Judges will have a chance to submit detailed reports on the aesthetics, aroma, taste and effects of each product.
