Southern Illinois is gaining a new recreational only dispensary today.

Consume Cannabis Carbondale will open at 10 a.m. this morning.

Carbondale’s first dispensary is located in the historic building at 201 E. Main St. Suite 1A, former home of the Newell House restaurant.

The hours are from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday though Thursday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday through Saturday. On Sunday, the store is open from 12 p.m.-6 p.m.

Consume Carbondale is the second site for the medical and recreational dispensary Consume Cannabis Marion, formerly known as The Harbory.

Consume also has dispensaries in Chicago and Quincy.

Carbondale Consume is a recreational only dispensary and does not allow medical patients to register at this new dispensary.

Before showing up to the store, customers should preorder online. Customer will also be able to place their online order by scanning a QR code outside the building.

To enter the store, customers must wear a mask.

As a recreational only dispensary, customers should have a bigger variety of products than with a medical and recreational dispensary, which prioritizes medical patients.

To start the morning, Consume Carbondale has 29 flower, 52 Edible, 28 Vape, 25 Pre-roll, 15 Extract, and 2 Topical products from several Illinois cultivators listed on its menu.
