Hemp Cannabis Symposium announces final schedule
The Southern Illinois Hemp Cannabis Symposium, sponsored by the Southern Illinois University Cannabis Science Center, recently announced its final schedule for the 6th annual event set for 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Sept. 19. Early registration is still available ($80 for participants and $10 for students) until Aug. 24.
The Hemp Cannabis Symposium registration portals can be found here: Participant Registration, Exhibitor Registration, and Poster Presenter Registration. Registration includes lunch and an invitation to a mixer following the symposium at the Dunn Richmond Research Park.
The Hemp Cannabis Symposium will host keynote speakers Dr. Allison Justice, Founder of the Cannabis Research Center and Coalition, Dr. Bruce Bugbee, Professor at Utah State University and President of Apogee Instruments, and David Lakeman, Cannabis Division Manager at the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Other presenters include Hunter Buffington, Joseph Hickey, Matthew Gibbons, Kelly Burke, and Dr. Daniela Vergara.

Gower Translational Research Center, located at 1785 University Press Dr. in Carbondale, is set to host the Hemp Cannabis Symposium. Exhibitor space, sponsorships, and tickets are now open. The SIU Cannabis Science Center was established to form a collaborative network for cannabis research. Working groups across campus work together with a combined interest in cannabis.
