IDOA to host public meeting on cannabis plant monitoring system
As mentioned in the previous news article, the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) announced today proposed amendments that would add a new IDOA-designated cannabis plant monitoring system, within which all cannabis business establishments must create and maintain accounts that track all movements of cannabis or cannabis-derived products. IDOA also announced today a time and date for a public hearing on the proposed amendments.
IDOA is set to host the public hearing at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the John R. Block Illinois State Fairgrounds Building Auditorium, located at 801 E. Sangamon Ave. in Springfield. This hearing concerns the proposed amendments published in today’s Illinois Register and Flinn Report that would expand IDOA licensing of cannabis businesses and institute a statewide cannabis plant monitoring system.
