Illinois July cannabis sales sets 2022 record
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced July’s recreational sales totals today. The total cannabis sales in July set a new 2022 monthly record and was the second-highest monthly totals since legalization in Illinois at $135,658,291.46. Illinois’ highest monthly total of all was December 2021 at $137,896,859.11.
July total out-of-state resident sales reached $43,503,289.06 and in-of-state resident sales totaled $92,155,002.40. Illinois sold a total of 3,251,062 cannabis items in July.
The 2022 monthly sales totals have already surpassed the total amount of sales of $669,084,410.12 in 2020, the first year of legalization in Illinois. To date, Illinois 2022 monthly sales totals have reached $886,258,799.90 and are well on the way to top 2021 totals of $1,379,088,278.61. Find all monthly sales totals below.
