Illinois June medical cannabis sales top $33 million
Retail sales of medical cannabis for June totaled $33,251,969.41, including $14,330,657.20 in dry flower sales and $17,718,063.40 in concentrates/infused-products.
Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 62,811 unique patients, who purchased 1,112,475 grams of dry cannabis.
After a decrease in May totals, sales increased by more than $4 millions in total sales, but the most increase on nearly $2 million in sales came from concentrates/infused-products.
Illinois currently has 55 licensed medical dispensaries.
Total 2020 retail sales by licensed medical cannabis dispensaries reached $204,224,128.30.
Retail sales since November 2015 by licensed medical cannabis dispensaries totaled $726,498,373.13.
Wholesale sales by cultivation centers in 2020 totaled $181,754,841.18.
Total wholesale sales by cultivation centers were $543,693,315.04.
All sales figures reflect voided sales. Prior to 2017, voided sales were not reflected in these figures.
The Illinois Department of Public Health has approved applications for 125,344 qualifying patients (including 687 persons under 18 years of age), since it began accepting applications for the Medical Cannabis Registry Program on September 2, 2014.
No state bordering Illinois has legalized recreational marijuana.
