Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced Illinois’ January 2022 recreational sales totals today.

Illinois’ January cannabis sales totals of $117,251,759.72 were the lowest since June 2021’s $115,574,741.27. Each monthly total since March 2021 has reached more than $100 million.

The in-state January resident sales totals dropped from $95,634,565.57 in December 2021 to January 2022’s $81,991,809.30. The out-of-state resident sales totaled also dropped from $42,363,394.54 in December 2021 to $35,259,950.43. Total items sold in December reached 2,645,046.

In 2021, Illinois totaled $1,379,088,278.61 for the year, which more than doubled 2020 totals of $669,084,410.12.
