NIHH Hemp Building Workshop set for June 20-21
The Northern Illinois Hemp Hub and Kifcure are set to host the Hemp Building Workshop from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Northern Illinois Hemp Hub, located at 5W223 Lees Road in Maple Park, June 20-21. The two-day event will delve into the innovative world of sustainable construction, focusing on the utilization of hemp-based materials.
Builders and contractors, architects and designers, real estate developers, government officials, university students, and industrial hemp professionals will have a change to:
- Delve into the science and environmental advantages of Hempcrete.
- Overview and deep-dive into the ICC Appendix BL Hemp-Lime (Hempcrete) Construction
- Engage in hands-on workshops covering mixing, molding, and building with Hempcrete.
- Expert-led sessions hosted by sustainability pioneers.
- Connect with fellow participants through interactive activities, discussions, and networking opportunities.
- Participants will qualify for CEU credits in Architecture
