PharmaCann donates to college cannabis program
PharmaCann, which operates Illinois dispensaries under the name Verilife, has donated $100,000 to Olive-Harvey College’s cannabis program.
The partnership is to support continuing education in cannabis, faculty endowment, student scholarships, work-based learning stipends, seed-to-sale equipment, and more.
Olive-Harvey is community college on Chicago’s far South Side is a part of the City Colleges of Chicago, the largest community college system in Illinois and one of the largest in the nation.

City Colleges of Chicago, officially known as Community College District 508, is one of the nation’s largest community college districts and the largest in Illinois. About 5,000 thousand faculty and staff help prepare 80,000 students each year to enter the workforce, pursue higher education and advance their careers. The District serves students on seven campuses and five satellite sites. It also oversees two restaurants and five childcare centers.
According to its website, the mission of the Cannabis Studies program at City Colleges of Chicago is to educate the future workforce, activists, thought leaders and entrepreneurs in the Illinois cannabis industry and empower individuals who have been disproportionately affected by the war on drugs through restorative justice.
PharmaCann currently operates in six states and holds licenses to operate up to five cultivation centers and 26 dispensaries within its geographic footprint.
