PTS donates to cancer awareness charities
In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September) and Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), Progressive Treatment Solutions has created limited edition Tonics for sale this October.
For every limited edition Raspberry Lemonade Tonic sold to a dispensary, PTS will donate $2.50 to The Lynn Sage Foundation. The Compass to Care Foundation will receive $2.50 from PTS for every limited-edition 1:1 Tropical Punch Tonic sold.
“We saw an opportunity to do some good with our most popular products,” said PTS Director of Marketing Dan Scheidt. “The charities represent great causes and we are happy to support them.”
PTS’s website states, “After researching Illinois cancer charities, we at PTS were impressed with The Lynn Sage Foundation and Compass to Care for the high percentage of their funds that were spent on research and care. Nearly 90% of The Lynn Sage Foundation’s funds go directly to breast cancer researchers. Compass to Care uses 95% of their funds for transportation and lodging to support children and their families during cancer treatments. We are so proud to be supporting such worthy Illinois charities that are actively supporting their communities and people battling cancer.”
The Tonic bottles started shipping out on Tuesday and should be on the shelves this week.
The Lynn Sage Foundation (@lynnsagefdn) was founded in honor of Lynn Sage, who lost her battle to breast cancer at 39. The foundation, started by the Sage family, is committed to supporting local breast cancer researchers through its partnerships with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and Rush University Medical Center.

The Compass to Care foundation (@compasstocare) ensures children can access life-saving cancer treatments. Compass to Care removes the fiscal burden of travelling to hospitals and treatment facilities so families can focus on their children. Michelle Ernsdorff-May founded Compass to Care after seeing the lengths her parents would go to ensure she was able to get treatment for kidney cancer.
