Review: 420K Gold Punch Briq Vape by Select
The 2-gram disposable vape category is expanding rapidly, and Select is betting on them by building its 2024 4/20 campaign around the release of one. The Select 420K Gold Punch Briq vape is a limited release inspired by the strain 24K Gold. I recently stopped into Curaleaf Weed Street and picked up one of the limited Briq vapes to review.
The Select 420K Gold Punch Briq vape is a 2-gram disposable vape filled with distillate infused with botanically derived terpenes. The batch of oil tested at 0.338% CBDa, 87.434% THC, and 91.397% total cannabinoids.

A small black rectangle with some weight and presence in the hand, the Briq evoked a memory of a Zippo lighter with a slightly smaller form factor. The discreet packaging is one of the brand’s selling points, and it’s true that the combination of diminutive size and black soft touch plastic wouldn’t look out of place in a makeup bag or sitting out on a desk. The Briq had no buttons or settings, a small ring near the top that lit up when charging or hitting and a hit-to-activate mechanism. There was a USB-C port at the bottom and a charging cord included in the bag.
The flavor of 420K Gold Punch is inspired by 24K Gold, a cross of Kosher Kush and Tangie and leaned very far into the tropical side. A noticeably artificial blend of papaya, melon, and mango flavors hit first and most clearly, even on small pulls. This sweet tropical flavor was followed by a hint of toasted coconut, especially as my hits got bigger with a roasted garlic note, creating the finish on blinker pulls. Even with the biggest hits, the flavor didn’t have a lot of staying power and was gone from the palate very quickly following exhale.
420K Gold Punch had a sharp come up with a blast of tingling euphoria hitting my arms and chest and a stupefying daze taking over my headspace. After this fast acting but short-lived peak, a back end relaxation took over, and while my motivation was still sapped from the initial hit, my mental clarity returned and the euphoric tingles became an overall relaxation. This hard-hitting but short-lived character made the oil a good fit for the discrete nature of the Briq by providing a real “lunch break” high.
