Review: Acaí Mints Infused Prerolls by Grassroots
I’ve been sampling a large variety of infused-preroll products this year. As the category explodes in size, every time I finish one review, I find another cultivator producing a new infused preroll. I recently stopped into Curaleaf Skokie, where the staff turned me on to the Diamond Infused Prerolls from Grassroots. I picked up the Acaí Mints pack to see how they stood up to the rest of the market.
Acai Mints is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Gelato #49 and Kush Mints. This batch of infused preroll tested at 0.407% THC, 36.621 % THCa, and 37.915% total cannabinoids.

Each 0.4 gram preroll was just under two and a half inches long with barely more smokable material than the crutch. Tightly rolled and with an extra bit of paper tucked at the end, these joints benefited from some prework with the fingers to make for a more even smoking experience.
The aroma inside the box, as well as a few dry pulls, indicated an earthy and herbal blend of mint, oregano, sweet basil, and fresh cacao nibs near the finish. Initially, Acaí Mints carried the earthy cacao and oregano tones through to the palate, but as the joint burned down, it developed a previously undetected pine flavor.
Acaí Mints produced a heavy pressure that opened at my brow but quickly spread down into my body producing waves of strong tingling. Mentally I was calmed and overcome with a short-lived goofy positive energy that gave way to an overall sense of calm that lasted the better part of an hour.
The high was similar in duration to many of the distillate infused prerolls I’ve sampled with a fast acting strong peak and a quick come down. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
