Review: Aces High Select Elite Cartridge by Curaleaf
Since we started our Cartridges and Vapes review series, I reviewed two Curaleaf Select Elite Cartridges: Bubba Diagonal and Ray Charles. I enjoyed both Select Elite Live Oil Cartridges, but I prefer sativa-strain carts. So I picked up Aces High Select Elite Cartridge from Curaleaf Mokena.
Aces High is a sativa dominant (75% sativa/25% indica) cross of a female Ohio Cut Lemon G and a male Stardawg. This batch of Elite Live Oil Cartridge tested at 65.18% THC, 15.47% THCa, 0.18% CBD, and a total of 84.77% cannabinoids. The leading terpenes included b-caryophyllene, limonene, and myrcene.

Curaleaf states that the combination of its live resin terpenes and oil “results in a high quality, high potency oil with a wide variety of strain-specific flavor and effects—so sativas feel more stimulating and indicas more sleepy.” I knew what the sedative effects of the Bubba Diagonal and Ray Charles were, and I wanted to test the effects of the sativa.
The flavors of the Aces High Select Elite Live Oil Cartridge first hit with a citrus and gas and added heavy back notes of earth and spice.

The effects were as advertised with an uplifting, euphoric, and motivating buzz that delivered a focused and fatigue diminishing cerebral head high. A mild body buzz crept in late.
These effects were not only for finishing a task but rather finishing a list of tasks. I’d caution patients with sever anxiety that can be triggered by racy sativa strains should probably skip this strain or use in carefully moderation.

As a huge fan of energetic sativa, I was able to use the Aces High Select Elite Cartridge for exact purpose I’d planned. As mentioned in every cartridge review, I prefer using carts for travel. I like to be able to reach a destination that may not be cannabis friendly and know that I can and did medicate almost anywhere at anytime with the Aces High Select Elite Cartridge.
Overall, the energetic cerebral buzz was perfect for engaging with others during family functions and other events. I’m interested in trying the flower for our Work Sativa review series.
