Review: AJ Sour Diesel by Bedford Grow
Bedford Grow entered two sativa flowers into the 2021 High Times Cannabis Cup Illinois: People’s Choice Edition: AJ Sour Diesel and Pootie Tang. So I decided to add them to our Work Sativa review series. This review is for the AJ Sour Diesel, or AJ’s Sour Diesel, both of which I picked up from Maribis Springfield. I’ll follow this review with the Pootie Tang later in the week.
AJ Sour Diesel is a sativa dominant hybrid cross of AG Sour Diesel and PSA. This batch of flower tested at 24.86% THCa, 0.32% THC, and 25.95% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes were limonene, β-caryophyllene, and β-myrcene. The next three prevalent terpenes included linalool, and β-elemene, α-humulene, α-terpineol, and α-pinene.

Unlike most of Bedford Grow strains, the AJ Sour Diesel buds were fluffier and not as dense. Colors from light green, dark green to purple mixed in with the rust-colored pistils and creamy trichomes.
The aroma from the glass container hit with pungent oranges and hops followed by sweet pine, and earthy lavender. The flavor, though, shifted to a sweet fruity, lemony, sour pine, and diesel on the inhale. The exhale added more sourness and a little earthiness with a bigger kick of diesel.

The cerebral buzz was potent and settled heavy in the top of the head. The energetic buzz was not racy. The head high was mostly euphoria and creative, but when I dosed a little too much, the buzz caused brain stalls or in-depth thought sequences.
The body buzz drifted in about twenty minutes later, and though my mind was able to function clearly and able to get work completed, my body was at total ease without being too relaxed.

Overall, AJ Sour Diesel fell into our Work Sativa review series but not the best of focus to be a top Work Sativa list. However, this has become my favorite Bedford Grow sativa. Bedford Grow has several sativa on its list of genetics but barley any on menus. I wish they’d cultivate and sell more sativa, but I guess I say that about almost all cultivators and growers.
