Review: Alien DNA by Galaxy Labs
While I love the convenience and simplicity of prerolls, I don’t believe they give a full picture of a cultivator’s talents. I recently reviewed a couple prerolls from craft cultivator Galaxy Labs that left me looking forward to trying its full flower eighths. I finally stopped in at Galaxy Richton Park and picked up a couple eighths, starting with Alien DNA.
Alien MACis a hybrid cross of Miracle Alien Cookies and an unknown plant. This batch of flower tested at 1.19% THC, 24.84% THCa, and 26.75% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 1.79% of the total weight.

Five small flowers made up the eighth with two pointed nugs standing out as the largest. A blend of olive- and neon-green tones was further brightened by the visible milky trichomes glittering on the surface. Thin orange hairs intermingled with some small sugar-leaf remnants, adding some additional color. The texture was balanced with a dense body that still had a lot of bounceback when pinched. Very sticky on the interior of the buds, this eighth took some effort to grind.
The aroma inside the jar carried a unique sour top end with layers of brine, fresh hops, and over ripened grapes followed by a heavier body carrying notes of licorice, soy sauce umami, heavy cream, fresh cedar, and hot peppers. Running these flowers through the grinder accentuated the sour top end, bringing out a gassy chemical tone. The sour chemical notes, hops, and cedarwood carried through to the palate clearly with some of the MAC creaminess coming through on the finish. A caramel tone lingered on the tongue.
The mental high initially cleared my headspace, allowing me to focus and keep calm. The physical aspect far outweighed the mental as huge waves of body sensations eventually distracted me from my work but made moving easier. I enjoyed smoking Alien DNA before a workout. My energy levels remained consistent no matter when smoked, adding some flexibility to the profile. This eighth carried a unique aromatic profile and was especially good for pain relief.
