Review: Banana Splitz Vape by Bloom
While I’ve had the opportunity to sample a couple vapes from the Bloom flavor lineup, brought to Illinois by Helios Labs and The 1937 Group, I’ve yet to sample the brand’s cannabis derived terpene infused Live line until now. I recently stopped into Parkway Dispensary and picked up a couple flavors, including Banana Splitz.
The Bloom Banana Splitz Live Surf is a half-gram distillate vape infused with cannabis-derived terpenes. This vape tested at 85.37% THC and 6% total terpenes.

Sitting in the palm with the same footprint as a Bic lighter but slightly thinner, the surfboard-shaped vaporizer was a beige-white plastic at the bottom two-thirds and a translucent black at the mouthpiece with a small visibility window for tracking oil amount. Very simple to use, the only interface with the user was a small indicator light that glowed when activated. The Bloom Surf consistently produced larger vapor clouds when compared to a traditional stick battery and cart combination.
Bloom live vapes are flavored with cannabis-derived terpenes, creating a fuller, more natural flavor, but Banana Splitz is a created flavor and not a strain of flower. The top end of the profile was sweet with notes of banana cream and cocoa working together to create a banana split flavor. The back end turned savory, revealing herbal tones of roasted thyme, black pepper, as well as a tangy medicinal tone right at the finish.
Bloom Banana Splitz set in quickly with an anxiety relieving headspace and a relaxing body release that knocked out some of my pain and calmed my everyday muscle tenseness. The overall relaxation was fast acting but didn’t develop into anything more than a calm headspace and light body relief, even with multiple large hits.
The effects lasted for the better part of an hour, and while the experiential profile wasn’t heavy, it served its purpose as an emergency anxiety reliever. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
