Review: Bio Jesus Vape Cart by Cresco
It’s interesting how certain cannabis strains become associated with specific people, places, and things. One strain in the legal market really has my dad’s heart, Bio-Jesus, and anytime I see it, I think of the old man. I recently picked up from Sunnyside Champaign a Cresco Bio-Jesus Liquid Live Resin Vape Cart to review.
Bio Jesus is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Bio Diesel and Gumbo. This live resin vape cart tested at 79.41% THC and total cannabinoids. A slightly longer version of the classic cylindrical 510-threaded vape Cresco uses, there was a clear plastic mouthpiece, a branded glass tank, with a thick blue band at the base, indicating the “indica” nature of Bio-Jesus. Inside, a honey amber-colored oil was slow moving even when warmed. Despite the basic hardware, the cart produced denser, heavier clouds than a half-gram equivalent.

The dense hits carried a layered flavor profile. Initially, a savory mix of fresh pine, roasted thyme, hot gas, and nutmeg hit the palate. Beneath this warm opener, a sweet and floral blend of candied lavender, wildflowers, and orange zest created a subtle finish. The light-floral tones clung to the palate for a few minutes post vape.
At low doses Bio Jesus created a pressure that started in my brow before spreading into the rest of my head, neck, and shoulders. The mental shift was light, pushing me towards a slow-to-build functional calm, but the bulk of the effect was physical. Higher doses from multi-hit sessions left me with a strong full-body weighted-blanket pressure that provided muscle relief as it grew. The head change was much more pronounced at high doses, stopping my train of thought while I became calm, quiet, and introspective. Bio Jesus worked best in the evening to wipe away the stress of the day.
