Review: Blazy Susan products
Honestly, if it wasn’t for the perfect garden of strawberry candy bar edibles, Lana Del Rey’s album Ultraviolence, and my ability to still roll with my nails on—my love for weed may have never grown. For some people, weed is a world of aesthetics that allows for the creative outlets and rituals that make life beautiful, interesting, and fun. I feel like Blazy Susan totally understands how satisfying it is to make weed pretty—so I was very pumped when they sent us some goods.
Blazy Susan sells cute smoking accessories, but the smoking accessory organizers really set them apart. These aren’t elaborate containers pretending to be a Pringles can or lunchbox or whatever; you can get a spinning tray that has a clean little compartment for all your lighters, joints, concentrates, or dab tools to be held erect, organized, and all out in the open.
I’m so excited for products that aim to break the stigma that weed is dirty, or belongs in a hidden compartment in a messy dorm room of a lazy student. There’s certainly a market for marijuana users who aren’t shy about getting high as a relaxing addition to an organized and healthy lifestyle. If you fit that description, Blazy Susan is here for you—with her tidy little serving tray to come take care of you. I mean, look at her. She even kind of looks like a nurse.
She also totally looks like Shelly from David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.
These pink papers are a very unique, quality product. The only other unflavored natural-presenting pink rolling papers I can find are produced by Rizla—a company that’s been making papers since 1790. I’m not sure why there’s a lack of adorable cannabis company products, but I’m grateful for Blazy Susan and ready to see more variety in the rolling paper market.
According to its website, Blazy Susan brand was the brainchild of founder and CEO, Will Breakell, a young entrepreneur from Roanoke, Virginia. One day, while sitting on his couch looking at his cluttered coffee table, Breakell had an epiphany; thus, the original Blazy Susan was born. Over the years, the brand has cultivated a community of fans and supporters who is lovingly refer to as the “Blazy Gang.” If you want to be a part of the Blazy Gang, shop here.
