PharmaCann, which operates dispensaries under the name Verilife, recently launched a new Matter product line: matter.lite. The matter.lite product line reminded me of a guy named Joe I met once when I was younger. When asked if Joe wanted to catch a buzz before heading out the door for work, he said, “Yeah, maybe just a saucer buzz.” He took one hit and ran out the door.

I never found out what a saucer buzz meant. I assumed, and after twenty-five years I have no reason to think different, that a saucer buzz was just a lighter high so he could function properly at work and that he made up the phrase “saucer buzz” because a saucer was smaller than a plate. Now, I can’t help but think that the new matter.lite product line would have been perfect for Joe and those like him who want a lighter and more functioning buzz or want to microdose. As Matter puts it, Matter has a “new line of lighter cannabis gummies, vapes, and tinctures for those who want to enjoy life’s occasions and still feel in control.”

The new microdosing matter.lite products include 2.5mg Mango and 2.5mg Raspberry flavored gummies and a 1:1 vape (and a 1mg THC drop tincture that has not launched yet). While at Verilife Ottawa, I picked up all three for review. I decided to review the Blue Dream 1:1 Live Resin Cartridge first and review the gummies next week. This new line is sold exclusively at Verilife dispensaries in Illinois, which includes Arlington Heights, Galena, North Aurora, Ottawa, River North, Romeoville, Rosemont, and Schaumburg (Coming Soon).

Blue Dream is a well-known slightly sativa-dominant hybrid strain made by crossing Blueberry with Haze. This Blue Dream 1:1 live resin terpene-infused cartridge tested at 43.83% THC, 0.21% THCa, 47.09% CBD, and 0.21% CBDa.

The Blue Dream 1:1 cart’s sweet berry flavor was smooth with notes of a floral citrus on the inhale but delivered stronger earthy and musky grape tastes on the exhale.

The effects were a light and well-balance cerebral high with a slow building body buzz that didn’t settle in until well after the mild head high. I smoked this Blue Dream 1:1 cart before and during a very chilled family function and was totally relaxed with a happy head high. The more I dosed the more the body buzz built, but the cerebral high stayed at about the same level.

Overall, these Blue Dream 1:1 cart’s happy mild buzz would be perfect for a new cannabis consumer who wanted to try a vape cartridge. While dosing with the Blue Dream 1:1, I was able to function while writing, reading, watching television, listening to music, gaming, and relaxing outdoors.
