While distillate vape pens certainly have their compromises, there’s no doubt that they can be flavored to appeal to nearly anyone. Bloom plays to this strength by creating cannabis-inspired flavors that are easy to understand, even if they aren’t based on actual strains. I recently stopped into Parkway Dispensary and picked up Bloom’s Blueberry Gushers Live Surf Vape to review.

The Blueberry Gushers Live Surf is a distillate vape infused with cannabis-derived terpenes. This vape tested at 84.65% THC and 6% terpenes.

The Bloom Surf vape hardware was a custom affair that took its name from its surfboard shape. Just slightly longer and skinnier than a standard Bic lighter, the bottom two-thirds was a soft touch white plastic adorned with the Bloom logo and a small white indicator light. The top third was a slightly translucent black plastic that allowed the user to view the remaining oil level. The pen was easy to understand and use, and the battery lasted long after the oil was gone.

A large pull produced notes of sweet artificial blackberry, fresh blueberry, and heavy cream, followed by notes of earth and roasted thyme at the finish that pointed to the cannabis-derived nature of the terpenes. The flavor was long lasting and stuck to the palate after the exhale.

Bloom Blueberry Gushers induced a mood shift almost immediately, putting a smile on my face and providing a tingling euphoria concentrated in my stomach. This sharp front-end peak was short lasting but consistent sesh-to-sesh. A loss of focus followed and a cloudy but positive headspace persisted for the better part of half an hour.
