Review: Cherry Cola Gummy Bites by matter.
I’ve been performing physical labor outdoor more than I’ve wanted to, so of course, I have been eating a lot of homemade chocolate edibles. When I ran out of chocolate, I decided to switch to gummies, but I didn’t want the “sour” gummy-flavored edibles that are plentiful on Illinois dispensary menus. I wanted something different. When I noticed Cherry Cola Gummy Bites by matter., I picked up a pouch from Verilife Ottawa to review.
The Cherry Cola Gummy Bites’ pouch contained ten sugarcoated gummy bites. Each gummy bite contained 10mg of emulsified THC. The red half-sphere shaped bites sported the lowercase M, as used in the matter. brand.

Fruit-flavored gummies usually have natural and familiar flavors, so I was a little wary about gummies trying to match an extremely recognizable soda flavor. Cultivators have made eating edibles that have no real cannabis taste commonplace, but cultivators do not always nail down niche flavors.
After opening the pouch, a strong cherry hit first, followed by a cola aroma that quickly blended the two together for a potent cherry cola smell. The matter. brand nailed the aroma of cherry cola, but I was split if that made it more or less likely to have a matching flavor.

The flavor surprisingly matched the aroma and namesake as well. The flavor first hit with cola then quickly followed with cherry, then back to cola. As I chewed, the cherry and cola blended into a recognizable cherry cola flavor, reminiscent of a little-league concession stand’s cherry soda.
With the emulsified THC, the onset was quicker than traditional edibles and more cerebral. The head high was energetic and euphoric, especially for the first three-quarter of the overall buzz. The effects kept me upbeat, happy, and smiling.

The body buzz took way longer than the head high to kick in. Once the body buzz kicked in, it slowly built to relax muscles and cramps without sacrificing laziness or lack of motivation.
As with cherry cola, the ingredients are made for a sugary treat. Ingredients included corn syrup, sucrose, water, pectin, natural flavor, citric acid, trisodium citrate, cannabis oil, fruit and vegetable juice (color), and Vitamin E TPGS. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, click here.
