Each year, the 420 holiday provides an opportunity for customers to try new specialty items and limited releases. This year, nuEra is celebrating the holiday with a promotion for its limited-release Cross Joint. The Cross Joint, popularized by the movie Pineapple Express, will be available with special purchase details, starting tomorrow. I picked one up from nuEra Champaign to review.

The flower inside the 3-gram joint is Windy City OG, a hybrid cross of Tahoe OG and Runtz. The Windy City OG tested at 38.017% THCa, 01.383% THC, and 40.082% total cannabinoids. Primary terpenes included limonene, caryophyllene, and linalool, with a total of 2.468%.

The Cross Joint was an instant attraction when I broke it out at a small party. The eye-catching cross was everyone’s first experience with the novelty item, including me. The Cross Joint was rotated in the sesh dozens of times. The joint, with three tips, burnt down relatively even until they reached the crossing point. With some manipulation, the rest of the joint burnt down but was so resinous and sticky that it became half clogged at the end.

The flavor of the Windy City OG delivered earthy pine and berries on front end of the inhale and sour berries, candy lemon, and citrus on the back end of the exhale. The hybrid effects landed in the middle with a blissful head high that calmed my attitude to a chill mode. The Cross Joint worked well at the social gathering and fit as an any time-of-day smoke, especially in the evenings and at nights.
