Review: Fruit Stand Party Pack by Tales & Travels
While it’s a wonderful “problem” to have, the proliferation of labels and brands on Illinois menus can be difficult to keep up with as a reviewer. Tales & Travels is a new brand from Revolution that recently added to its own thematic label with the half-ounce Party Pack. Along with a “shareable size” of Revolution’s in-house strain, the Party Pack pouch contains a pack of matches and rolling papers. I picked up a Party Pack of Fruit Stand from Enlightened Mt. Prospect to see what all the new strain and product offered.
Fruit Stand is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Blueberry Clementine and Florida Oranges, created in-house by Revolution. This batch of flower tested at 0.75% THC, 21.71% THCa, and 22.79% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes were listed as limonene, β-myrcene, β-caryophyllene, α-humulene, and α-terpineol.

Tales & Travels sells the 14 grams of flower as a Party Pack, and the packaging labeled it as a “shareable size.” The zippered mylar containing the flower is part of a larger pouch that folds over onto itself (think old-school tobacco pouch) and holds a pack of matches and rolling papers with crutches within.
The buds inside the Party Pack were small with the largest being about half the size of a piece of popcorn. These flowers were bright green with random orange hairs here and there and a thick trichome frost. Fruit Stand is an apt name for this strain based on the aroma alone. Opening the bag flooded my olfactory receptors with fresh orange zest, cherry, and strawberry notes supported by heavy cream and a strong cheddar cheese undertone. When smoked, the berry, orange, and citrus appeared on the front of the palate, but the rich savory cheese flavor that served as a supporting character on the nose dominated the exhale.
The effect profile for Fruit Stand was a perfect fit for Tales & Travels shareable Party Pack vibe. Smoking a small joint left me clearheaded and playful with a light body buzz that gave my eyelids some weight but kept my body tingly and euphoric. The label stated that Fruit Stand paired well with reading and sing-alongs, and while I personally found myself a bit too distractible for any deep reading, I was ready to belt out a version of “Sweet Caroline” that annoyed my wife tremendously.
I kept returning to Fruit Stand for the contrast of the fruit and cheese flavor and simply because I could fit it into any point in my schedule, from Work Sativa to night use. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
