Review: G Purps Raw Wax by Verano
I’ve long believed half gram concentrates could be a wonderful way to sample extracts without spending a fortune. Unfortunately, prices for half grams are almost always inflated beyond the point where this strategy would work. When I spotted this half gram of G Purps Raw Wax from Verano at Consume Marion for only $30, I took the chance.

G Purps is a slightly indica dominant cross of G6 and Purple Punch created by Verano. This batch of wax tested at 8.22% THC, 75.36% THCa, 0.35% CBD and 85.72% total cannabinoids.
This wax carried a deep golden matte hue throughout, almost appearing burnt orange in bright light. Typical for an ethanol extraction, the moisture content was low and made for a wax that did more crumbling than scooping. I found that pressing the wax against the container and onto my wand was the easiest and most accurate way to dose.

The aroma was light in the jar with subtle hints of pine, classic “hashish” style musk, and candied citrus. Vaporized across quartz, the flavors really blossomed with the pine and musk providing a heavy background to an unmistakable, straight-from-the-vine tart grape flavor. The smell was deceiving out of the jar as the exhale flavor here was heavy and lingering.
G Purps was clear headed, mood balancing, and great for focus. The only indicator of the slight indica genetics was the faint, euphoric body buzz. I enjoyed using small doses as an accompaniment to my coffee on work days. Large doses worked to clear my head and make me more open, talkative, and social in the evening. I noticed an appreciable increase in appetite also. Overall, patients should find a strain here that strikes a true balance between sedating indica and stimulating sativa.
