Garlic Z may be at peak popularity in Illinois with several cultivators growing the strain. I noticed the recently launched brand MIsix has released Garlic Z, so I picked up from Goodies Dispensary MIsix’s 7g bag to review.

Garlic Z is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of GMO and Zkittlez. This batch of flower tested at 00.54% D9 THC, 36.84% THCa, and 32.32% total cannabinoids. Primary terpenes included limonene, β-myrcene, β-caryophyllene, and linalool.

The 7 grams came inside a clear plastic pouch inside a closed paper sack. The thumb-sized buds were lime-green with dark-green and purple sugar leaves and dark-orange pistils. The heavy layer of tall and fat trichomes were dark tan.

The aroma delivered garlic, onion, hops, mushrooms, and herbal mint with a consistent note of sweet-and-sour candy. The flavor delivered the same garlic, onion, hops, mushrooms, and herbal mint with back notes of pine, citrus, and sweet candy.

The euphoric and titillating head high hit almost immediately. The initial uplifted sensation quickly slipped into a more carefree and relaxed mode of thoughts. The heavier the body buzz the more the head high transitioned into wandering thoughts or thoughtlock.

The body buzz also had a quick onset that started with tingling in the arms and legs. From there, the body buzz switched back and forth from a weightless sensation to heavy-blanket feeling. Ultimately landing on heavy blanket, the end of the buzz became soothing and tranquillizing, leading me to bed. Garlic Z also consistently boosted my appetite.
