Review: Go Betty Go Watermelon Chews by Betty’s Eddies
THCv has been having a moment, appearing in numerous daytime and sativa-leaning edibles over the past year. MariMed imprint label Betty’s Eddies isn’t missing out on the trend, releasing a ratioed daytime watermelon chew with the “diet weed” minor cannabinoid. I recently stopped at Thrive Anna and picked up a bag of Go Betty Go Watermelon Chews to review.
Betty’s Eddies Go Betty Go Watermelon Chews come as a 10-pack of chews with 10mg of THC and 2.5mg of THCV per piece. Each rough-cut chew was bright turf green and individually wrapped in a translucent classic taffy wrapper. Soft and chewy, these would have passed for “fresh off the hook” saltwater taffy in any candy shop. The classic taffy size made it harder to “multi-dose” in one go, but I found myself eating three to four candies per sesh.

Sweet and tangy on the front end, the flavor was a strong but vague artificial watermelon that blasted the palate to distract from the bitterness underneath. Warming and halfway between medicinal and herbal, the cannabis infusion created a persistent finish but didn’t stop me from returning to the bag for the sweet watermelon candy front end.
Betty’s Eddies chews always start working faster than expected, and these were no different, shifting my headspace within fifteen minutes and reaching a peak within a half hour. Sharp, expansive, and clearheaded, these chews boosted my focus and clarity of thought by quieting my running thoughts and letting me zero in on the moment. My muscles were light and relaxed at the peak with a slightly heavier than anticipated buzz. Returning to baseline within 90 minutes, these THCV chews were a sativa-style start to the day or a midday break.
