Convenience sells. That’s what helps cement vapes as the second-most popular category in Illinois dispensaries. Since I’ve been spending a lot of time on the road, I’ve been reaching for an ever-increasing number of vapes to get me through. Recently, I picked up a Crystal Clear Blast Goji OG disposable vape to review.

The Crystal Clear Goji OG Blast Vape is a half-gram distillate oil infused with botanical terpenes. This vape tested at 0.553% CBD, 85.3% THC, and 93.4% total cannabinoids.  Terpenes were 3.07% of the total with limonene, β-myrcene, and linalool indicated as the most prevalent.

Standing 4-inches tall, two-thirds-of-an-inch wide, and a third-of-an-inch thick, the vape sat comfortably in the palm. The mouthpiece and body of the vape were a soft touch plastic with a vibrant blue to yellow gradient and a raised Crystal Clear logo at the center. A yellow hexagonal button on one side boosted the power level, giving the vape its Blast moniker. A large visibility window at the top exposed the entire oil chamber, letting me track the viscous amber oil. Despite the button, there was a simple hit to activate mechanism and a USB-C charging port at the bottom.

A tangy flavor profile of fresh pine, hot diesel, pickled peppers, unripe berries, and wild grass seemed to strike the profile all at once. Peaking quickly with a clean finish, it took several pulls to sort through the flavors. The Blast button didn’t seem to produce larger clouds but noticeably increased the temperature. This hotter hit shifted the flavor, producing heavier pine tones alongside notes of fresh cut cedar and roasting fat. Even at the high temperature setting, the finish was quick and clean.

Very fast acting, a few small pulls produced a pressure at my brow and a quickly uplifted shift in mood. After the initial headchange, the pressure spread to the rest of my body as a light wave of muscle relaxation. The positive mood led to a short-lived boost in clarity of thought and focus. At the 45-minute mark, the buzz shifted as the mental clarity waned and the muscle relaxation became the most noticeable effect.
