Review: Apple Mints by Good Green
It’s been awhile since I added to our Work Sativa review series, so I picked up from Sunnyside Champaign a couple strains, including popcorn Apple Mints by Green Thumb Industries’ Good Green brand. “Good Green,” according to GTI’s website, “is a movement bringing, cannabis, responsible consumers, and change-making organizations together to create real, sustained progress against the War on Drugs.”
Apple Mints is a sativa cross of Melon Mints and Sour Apple Killer. This 10.5g (three eighths) of popcorn in the pouch tested at 1.18% THC, 22.49% THCa, and 24.84% total cannabinoids.

Even for popcorn, the buds were a little small, and the pouch contained a little too much shake. The tiny nugs, though, were frosty and dark green with some purple mixed in. The aroma from the bag hit with sour pine, sweet apple pie, and herby mint.
The flavor delivered a sour gassy diesel on the inhale with back notes of citrus, cool mint, and spice. The exhale produced flavors of sour apple and mint with back notes of herby spice and citrus.
The Apple Mints effects fit well with our Work Sativa criteria. The sativa-dominate strain delivered an energetic boost with a potent clear-headed cerebral buzz that allowed me to focus on work for hours while taming my ADD. The end-of-the-buzz crash was not there. Instead, the energy stuck with me to help avoid a crash from medicating for too long while working.

The body buzz took awhile to settle in but became an added bonus for relaxation while sitting at my desk for too long. Overall, if a patient were looking for a Work Sativa, Apple Mints would be a good one to try. It worked for me.
