Review: Grape Sugar Cookies Terp Sugar by Dabstract
While I usually look to the Bedford Grow catalog for gassy, terpinolene-heavy, sharp flavors, Dabstract has tapped into the label’s deeper cuts to highlight some of the fruitier strains. I recently stopped at Consume Marion and picked up a gram of Dabstract Grape Sugar Cookie Terp Sugar to review.
Grape Sugar Cookies is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Purple Haze. This batch of live resin tested 0.17% CBDa, 2.17% THC, 83.8% THCa, and 88.1% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 5.6% of the total weight with caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene being the heaviest.

A pile of roughly shaped, kosher-salt-sized crystals were suspended in a dense, transparent, sunflower-yellow oil. The oil had a stickiness that allowed me to choose how many small diamonds I wanted to pick up with each dosing.
The aroma carried a fruit-forward top, end mix of artificial grape, blueberry, fresh strawberry, and candied lemon, followed by a spicier mix of pine tar, sage, and hints of green bell pepper. The flavor on the palate drove home the fruit focus with clear, strong, sweet layers of artificial grape candy, strawberry, and candied lemon providing the bulk of the flavor. Light hints of pine, cinnamon, and spicy sage came and went on the finish, but it was the sweet-fruit tones that I could taste for several minutes post exhale.
A rush of allover euphoria led a slow-building full-body floating sensation that relieved muscle pain as it built. The initial physical rush was paired with a burst of energy and a runaway train of thought, but both slowly returned to a peaceful, clearheaded baseline as the floating sensation took over the physical side. The two-staged experience, a sativa-like burst of energy at the top end followed by a slow-moving peaceful calm, was more sativa then indica buzz than the label indicated hybrid. Overall, Grape Sugar Cookies was a sweet-fruit forward concentrate with a unique experiential profile.
