Review: Grapple Pie Live Resin Vape by Superflux
As the winter starts to wind down, temperatures pick up, and calendars fill with events, my arsenal for cannabis dosing also changes. While I’m a huge fan of flower and dabs during the winter, my travel schedule demands convenience, so vape pens and joints get more play in the spring, summer, and fall. Recently, I stopped into Nature’s Care Co. in Rolling Meadows and spotted the Superflux Grapple Pie Live Resin Vape, which enticed me to see how it would fit into my schedule.
Grapple Pie is a hybrid cross of Apple Fritter and Grape Gasoline, originally bred by Compound Genetics. This live resin vape tested at 0.23% CBD, 70.22% THC, and 73.34% total cannabinoids. The indicated terpenes were ocimene at 2.92%, limonene at 2.61%, and β-caryophyllene at 2.35%.

This half-gram live resin cartridge came as a basic classical 510-threaded cart with a metal coil, glass tank, and black ceramic mouthpiece. The most consistent and flavorful hits were at super low battery levels, and I recommend going as low as you possibly can in order to get the most out of this cart.
The top of the flavor profile hit with notes of sweet artificial grape, lime, berry, and apricot, followed closely by a richer mix of hot diesel and toasty malt at the finish. The hot diesel and malt lingered for a long time after exhaling. The flavor of the cart remained consistent from the first to the last hit, and even as I pushed the voltage higher on the battery, I never encountered an off or burnt taste.
Grapple Pie had a sharp sober-to-high curve with a few long pulls creating a tight headband surrounding my crown, a heaviness in my eyelids, and a mood boost that left me silly and smiling. This physical pressure spread downward from my crown into my body, eventually becoming an overall warming physical relaxation that released some of my chronic muscle pain for about an hour.
The silly headspace remained consistent throughout the experience, and I was playful and irreverent for as long as my muscle pains stayed at bay. Overall, this flavorful live resin cart was a good fit for my “anytime” vape needs and a flavorful expression of the strain.
