Review: High Dose Jellies by JAMS
The Curaleaf label, JAMS, has been steadily adding new flavors since debut last year, but the brand has even more to offer in 2025 with a high-dose, single-gummy version hitting shelves. I recently stopped at Curaleaf Deerfield and picked up three flavors of JAMS High Dose: Ruby Red Grapefruit, Peach, and Mixed Berry to review.

JAMS High Dose Jellies come as a single gummy with 50mg of THC per piece. There were three flavors: Ruby Red Grapefruit, Peach, and Mixed Berry. Each gummy was the same size and shape as a 10mg JAMS gummy, circular was a rounded top and the same footprint as a quarter. Reddish-purple for the mixed berry, bright orange peel for the peach, and a lighter shade of orange pink for the ruby red grapefruit, the exterior was coated with sugar while the inside was a dense chewy texture that retained a considerable amount of moisture.
The ruby red grapefruit was the most natural of the three flavors, leading with a bite of sour-grapefruit juice before leading into a vaguely herbal, lightly bitter note, revealing the cannabis infusion. The peach carried the fruit at the front with a blend of peach, apricot, and plum, providing a sweet stone-fruit mix before leading into the same herbal cannabis flavor. The mixed berry was the sweetest of the trio, delivering a cloying blueberry/raspberry note before returning to the cannabis infusion. All three balanced the fruit flavors with the cannabis infusion but the bitter herb tone lasted for several minutes after the gummy was gone.
All three flavors provided the same effect profile, a center spectrum hybrid buzz that unfolded across an hour. Initially, a sensation of lightness moved throughout my body, relieving my muscle pain as it went. My mental space remained clear and functional, knocking out all my stress and anxieties. The JAMS distillate served to enhance my current mood, lifting me up when I was motivated and calming me down when relaxing.
The ingredients were the same in each flavor; tapioca syrup, sugar, water, natural flavors, pectin, cannabis oil, citric acid , sorbitol, sodium citrate, fruit and vegetable color, and botanical terpenes. For more Illinois cannabis industry news, subscribe to Illinois News Joint’s newsletter here.
