While a great reviewer should seek out a wide variety of strains, there are certain cultivars that deserve a second, or third look. Highwayman, a key player in Bedford Grow’s stable, isn’t new to me, but this live resin diamonds and sauce form is. Trust me when I tell you it deserves it’s own review.

Highwayman is a hybrid cross of William’s Wonder and Tang Tang and F2. This batch of live resin picked up from Maribis of Springfield tested at 81.23% THCA and 86.8% total cannabinoids. The most prevalent terpenes were b-myrcene, limonene, and b-caryophyllene with smaller amounts of pinene and humulene.

This gram of live resin came as a mound of coarse salt sized diamonds coated and swimming in a thick, sunflower-yellow terpene sauce. The thick and sticky nature of the sauce worked well for “gluing” diamonds to the dab tool.

The aroma in the jar was bright and tangy leading with orange, lime, papaya, hops, and fresh pine. The orange and lime dominated the profile on the nose, and it took some exploration to find the other notes.

When I vaporized at low temps, I found a lot more than I expected. Candy sweet citrus and pine were certainly there, but I also found rich (and surprising) tones of cinnamon and freshly turned earth on the finish.

Highwayman has always struck me more as a sativa personally, no matter which form I’ve encountered it in, and this was no different. The physical sensations were pain relieving without becoming heavy or tiring. I felt the occasional euphoric tingle as the experience continued.

My headspace was wide open, playful and kept a smile glued to my face. Less focused than a strain I would use for work, I found this perfect for playing with the kids or having fun with friends and family. Overall, Bedford Grow has a strong diamond and sauce contender with a lot of flavor and balanced effects.
