Review: Infused Prerolls by P3
I’ve designated 2023 as the year of the infused preroll, and as the category continues to grow in the state, I feel more and more confident in that prediction. Pharmacann is so bought in that the company has brought an entirely new label, P3, to the space. I recently stopped at Verilife Ottawa and picked up samples of the new line including Blueberry AK Lemonade, Choco Berry Chunk, and Wilson We Need More Mangoes infused prerolls
All P3 infused joints are distillate and botanically derived terpene infused. Blueberry AK Lemonade tested at 17.99% THCa and 14.66% Delta-9-THC. Choco Berry Chunk tested 15.49% THCa and 14.63% Delta-9-THC. Wilson We Need More Mangoes tested at 0.23% CBDa, 17.6% THCa, and 19.03% Delta-9-THC.

All three joints came with glass tips, complete with metal filter inserts. Also, notably, I simply burned the extra paper at the ends of these before lighting and was treated to a smooth, clean burn without any additional prework.
P3 embraces the use of botanically derived terpenes to create intensely pronounced artificial-style aromas and flavors. The Blueberry AK Lemonade infused preroll carried a distinct blue raspberry Gatorade scent and flavor, remaining sweet until the second half when the cannabis note emerged, accompanied by a savory roasted black pepper undertone.
The Choco Berry Chunk provided a fudgy chocolate presence alongside an amalgamation of artificially sweet berry notes, reminiscent of a berry-flavored gummy rather than actual fruit. Once again, a subtle hint of savory roastiness emerged as the joint burned down.
Among the three, Wilson We Need More Mangoes showcased the boldest flavor, delivering an artificial tropical fusion that evoked memories of Sunny D with an added burst of mango. Orange, sugary mango, and papaya notes erased any trace of cannabis flavor throughout the entire joint. Remarkably, all the flavors matched the initial aromas precisely, without any unexpected surprises.
The effect profiles of these infused prerolls were so remarkably similar that distinguishing them based on the experience alone would have proven challenging. A heavy facial pressure put a goofy smile on my face while a foggy and directionless headspace overtook me. Physically, there were some light euphoric tingles that moved down from my head into my body.

Distillate infused prerolls all share a “slingshot” effect with a sharp experiential peak that occurs shortly after the session followed by a quick touchdown back to reality, and these share that trait. That effect, combined with the heavy mental daze they provided, made these a good fit for a fun afternoon break and while the heavy artificial-style flavorings weren’t what I look for personally, I know countless consumers that would enjoy these.
