Review: Lava Cake Live Budder by Aeriz
New baby, new job, new house, pandemic living, there are so many reasons for my insomnia. Searching for a cure, a fellow patient directed me to their favorite “sleepytime” strain Lava Cake. After months, I finally crossed paths with the strain in the form of a live resin budder from Aeriz on the menu at Consume Marion.
Lava Cake is an indica leaning hybrid cross of Thin Mint GSC and Grape Pie. This batch of Live Resin Budder tested at 2.06% THC, 73.44% THCA, 0.46% CBD and 78.42% total cannabinoids.

Exceptionally bright in the jar, the budder shined with the appearance of fresh lemon curd. I found the budder scooped well in small amounts but crumbled when I attempted to build larger doses.
The Lava Cake tasted bright on the front with hints of lemon, lime, fresh mint, and pine. The exhale revealed creamy tones evocative of rich butter and sugar cookies. Low temperature vaporization allowed the flavors to blossom and blend, creating the unmistakable flavor of buttery lemon bars.

The strong indica roots provided instant relaxation, pain relief, and anti-anxiety effects. The heavy body buzz and clean headspace set the stage for great sleep after I satisfied the heavy appetite that was generated.
After a morning dose, the powerful calming effects also worked well throughout the day on my “lazy Sunday,” lasting well into the afternoon. Overall, this Aeriz Live Resin Budder delivered heavy sedative and sleep effects alongside a surprisingly deep and rich flavor.
